Immerse yourself in the daily rhythms of Monachyle Mhor Farm, where you’ll experience the heart of rural life firsthand.

Join us in caring for our animals—take the donkeys and goats for a scenic walk, collect fresh eggs from the hen coop, groom our Highland ponies, and meet Donald, our adorable baby Highland cow. On select days, you can even watch our skilled sheepdogs in action!

FAQ's
1. How do I book the Life at Mhor Farm experience?
You can book directly through our website or via Monachyle Mhor. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details you need.
2. Where do I go when I arrive?
Please meet at the pink container at Monachyle Mhor at your scheduled time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early.
3. Do I need to complete a waiver form?

4. What if I arrive late?
We’ll do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but to ensure you get the full experience, please aim to be on time. If you’re running late, please contact us as soon as possible.
5. What should I wear?
Sturdy, weather-appropriate footwear (wellies or hiking boots recommended) Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities Waterproof jacket (we run rain or shine!) Hat, gloves, and sunscreen (depending on the season)
6. Will I get dirty?
Possibly! This is a hands-on farm experience, so be prepared to interact with animals and nature.
7. Should I bring anything with me?
You don’t need to bring anything specific, but if you’d like, you can bring a reusable water bottle and a camera to capture the experience.
8. What animals will I interact with?
Donkeys & goats (you’ll help take them for a walk) Chickens (collect fresh eggs) Highland ponies (you can groom them) Baby Highland cow Donald Sheepdogs (on select days, you’ll watch them in action)
9. Can I feed the animals?
Our guides will let you know when and how you can interact with the animals safely. Some feeding may be part of the experience, but it is always supervised.
10. Will I be able to milk a cow?
No, milking is not part of this experience, but you’ll get to learn about how our animals are cared for and their role on the farm.
11. How long does the experience last?
The experience typically lasts around 1 hour.
12. What if I have allergies (e.g., hay, animal fur, pollen)?
This is an outdoor farm experience with direct contact with animals, hay, and other natural elements. If you have allergies, please take necessary precautions before attending.
13. What is ‘farm-to-fork’ and how is it incorporated?
At RVIVAL and Monachyle Mhor, we believe in connecting people to their food. During the experience, you’ll learn how the farm supplies ingredients to the hotel and how we work sustainably with the land.
14. Can I stay for a meal afterward?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to book a table at Monachyle Mhor’s restaurant to enjoy a farm-fresh meal after your experience.
15. What happens if the weather is bad?
The experience runs rain or shine, so please dress accordingly! In extreme weather conditions, we may need to reschedule, and we’ll notify you as early as possible.
16. What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.
17. Is this experience suitable for children?
Yes! The experience is great for families, and children of all ages are welcome. We do ask that younger children are supervised at all times.
18. Is the experience accessible for people with mobility issues?
The farm has uneven terrain, so accessibility may be limited. If you have any mobility concerns, please contact us in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
